I am so excited to see all of your little princes and princesses!
After a while I started noticing that Lennard was in search of a princess.  So I created Lena, the frog princess!    The good new is, that you only have to adapt the pattern for Lennard a tiny bit to create this beautiful princess.
This is how you do it :
used stitches (US terminology)
l = loop
sl = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
(…) = everything between brackets has to be crochet in the same stitch
Lips for Lena the frog princess
Upper part
Start in the 10th stitch from the right corner of the mouth.  Crochet through both the loop of the last round on the green part (the head) and the loop of the last round of the red part (the mouth).
  1. 12 sc, 1 turning chain, turn
  2. 1 sl, 1 sc, skip 1 st, (5 dc in the next st), skip 1 st, 2 sl, skip 1 st, (5 dc in the next st), skip 1 st, 1 sc, 1 sl
Fasten off with a long tail and attach to the upper part of the head.
Lower part

Start in the 10th stitch from the left corner of the mouth.  Crochet through the loop of the last round on the red part (the mouth).

  1. 1 sl, 1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl, 1 turning chain, turn
  2. skip the first sl, 1 sl, 1 sc, 4 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl

FREE pattern: Aubergine, felted veggies

Aubergine felted veggies

You like crochet veggies? Make a bunch of this crochet aubergine and give them away as a toy or use them for decoration.

Here’s some fun facts about aubergines:
– Did you know that an aubergine isn’t actually a vegetable, but a berry?
– And here’s another fun fact about aubergine: During the renaissance the Italians called it a “mela insana”, which literally translates into “crazy apple”.

And… I have great news for the subscribers to my newsletter!  Because you can have this pattern for free!  Yeah, you heard me… FREE!

Not subscribed to my blogpost yet?  If you are fast, you can still grab this free pattern!  It’s free for subscribers only until  April the 30th, 2016.

For those who don’t want to subscribe. You can grab this cute pattern for a tiny fee on my ravelry webshop.

Happy crocheting!
